Factors to consider when integrating traditional elements into wine packaging design
(1) Regional factors Each region has its own local characteristics, such as Anhui’s rice paper, ink and inkstone; Suzhou’s Su embroidery and sandalwood fans; kites from Weifang, Shandong; hydrangeas from the Zhuang people, etc. are all materials that can reflect regional characteristics. Therefore, these traditional elements will be incorporated into the packaging design of famous wines in these places. For example, for Anhui's Blast Furnace Wine, the entire package incorporates elements such as Hui carvings and Hui-style architecture. This unique traditional element with regional characteristics is integrated into the packaging. The design is overall elegant, concise and unique. Because it integrates the local traditional culture, it not only gives the locals a friendly feeling, but also conveys Huizhou culture to outsiders. (2) Factors of the Times When integrating traditional elements into the packaging design of modern wine, it is necessary to fully explore the traditional cultural elements associated with the packaged objects and use ingenious creative ideas. Xifeng wine, Dukang wine, Fenjiu and other famous wines with a long history have traditional elements integrated into their packaging. For example: Fenjiu's bottles are made of blue and white porcelain, which highlights its cultural heritage; while Xifeng Old Winery uses traditional patterns to decorate the four corners, and its logo uses traditional Chinese seal seals, which highlights its classical characteristics.
