Family history (かもん)
The history of the family line can be traced back to the later period of Heian. They were originally used as decorative patterns, and later developed into popular family symbols. For example, Tokuji of Fujiwara clan used "papaya pattern" as the family line, and "plum pattern" of Ganhara clan.

At the end of Ping 'an, with the intensification of Genji and opposition, the two sides used the white flag and the red flag as the symbols representing their respective armies on the battlefield, which became the beginning of the Wu family's use of the family line. By the middle of Kamakura, basically all martial artists had their own families, and the family culture was determined and developed during this period.

In the Muromachi era, family patterns began to appear on the official uniforms of samurai. This kind of clothing with family lines is also called "dress".
During the Warring States period, the samurai clans had frequent civil wars, and the family genealogy types also surged.
During the Edo period, entertainment forms such as energy and kabuki were widely popular, and family lines were also used as decorations, and at the same time, in order to show the identity of characters, they appeared on stage costumes.

During this period, the hierarchy of scholars, farmers and merchants was very strict, which also prompted the family line to be widely used in shop signs and home decoration.
During the Meiji era, influenced by European and American cultures, Japan learned from the West in political system, and its family background, which was considered as a symbol of feudal society, was gradually ignored. Now, family patterns mainly appear in occasions such as weddings, funerals and celebrations, as well as in traditional costumes and time-honored trademarks.

The first generation is a descendant of the Emei emperor, known as "Gegen"; The most famous is the son of Emperor Qinghe, known as "Genji Qinghe". At the end of Heian, he fought against Shi Ping in Genping and finally won, which opened the shogunate era. Different tributaries have different families.
Dandan is considered to be the oldest family model in Japan. "Sasakawa" is the same as bamboo, and "Sasakawa" is a gentian flower. The leaf shape of gentian flower is similar to that of bamboo, so it is also called "Sasakawa". Gentiana flowers are loved by nobles in peacetime, and also appear in Tale of Genji and Pillow Grass. Patterns are used in clothes, daily necessities and transportation.

"Upper-feathered butterfly" is a butterfly. As early as the Nara period, butterfly patterns were widely used because of their beautiful shapes. Heian period, a martial artist, established his own family model. It is said that Ping was the first person to use butterfly patterns as family patterns.

Fujiwara is the surname of Japanese aristocrats, which existed as early as Asuka. Fujiwara's surname originated from Dahua and was given by Emperor Tianzhi in recognition of Nakatomino Kamatari's achievements. In the history of 1200 years, Fujiwara has been an important official active in the Japanese dynasty.
"Rattan" is considered as a symbol of longevity and a plant with very strong reproductive ability. Rattan stripes are widely used as family patterns for both the public and martial artists. "Xiaり vine" is a drooping vine. Besides the hanging vine pattern, there are many family patterns such as "vine+character", "vine+Hua Teng" and "nine vines".

The ancestors of the orange family are three thousand generations of county dog owners. She is a female figure active in Nara era. Later, she was named Tang Suyou, and now she is also called Tang Suyou of 3,000 generations or Tang Suyou of 3,000 generations of Agatha Tainukai. Oranges became public officials in Heian period, and then went into decline.
The orange pattern is one of the top ten patterns in Japan. As a plant that can endure bad weather and give off fragrance at the same time, oranges were used as street trees to beautify streets in Nara period. In Japan, people often say "orange is like orange" to describe a noble and persistent person.
