A simpler explanation for net zero carbon emission is to assume that the carbon emission of energy consumption is close to zero, because in the discussion of scientists today, the existing carbon emission reduction measures are either too slow (such as planting trees) or difficult to commercialize (such as CCS).

Zero carbon emission is not the absence of carbon dioxide emission, but the use of natural means such as planting trees to supplement the same amount of oxygen and balance the carbon dioxide emitted by people. Zero carbon emission refers to the activity of infinitely reducing pollutant emissions to zero.

As far as its technology is concerned, it refers to turning the waste discharged in the production process of one industry into raw materials or fuel of another industry, so that related industries can form an industrial ecosystem through recycling.

In the process of industrial production, the transformation of energy, energy and resources all follow certain natural laws, resources are transformed into various energies, various energies are transformed into each other, and raw materials are transformed into products, so it is impossible to realize the transformation of 100%. According to the law of conservation of energy and the law of immortality of matter, the lost part is finally discharged into the environment in the form of water, gas, sound, slag and heat.

The environmental protection work in China started late, and it is extremely difficult to really reduce the waste that has to be discharged to zero with the existing technical and economic conditions. Some enterprises have realized the so-called "zero carbon emission" by making full use of their own waste, but only changed the way, channels and nodes of pollutant emission, and some pollutants will eventually enter the environment.

Interim Measures for the Administration of Carbon Emission Trading Article 3 The term "carbon emission trading" as mentioned in these Measures refers to the trading activities of nationally certified emission quotas and voluntary emission reductions carried out by trading entities in accordance with these Measures.
