The town produces 100,000 tons of corn and 2.64 million kilograms of pepper annually. Millet, wheat, rice and miscellaneous beans are of excellent quality. The town has 270,000 acres of trees, a stock volume of 430,000 cubic meters, and an annual processing capacity of 30,000 cubic meters of wood. In 2006, the total number of livestock was 170,000, including 20,000 cattle (including 1,000 dairy cows, 10,000 slaughter cattle and fattening cattle annually), 43,000 sheep, 76,000 pigs, and 320,000 geese. There are autonomous region-level forest parks and Xinglongmarsh mechanized forest farms within the territory, as well as a desert reservoir with a storage capacity of 100 million. The ecological fish produced have been registered as trademarks by the State Trademark Administration. To the south of the reservoir is the 40-square-kilometer Ulan Grassland. Deserts, grasslands, Forests, reservoirs, and farmland are being developed along with tourism facilities, and a large-scale eco-tourism area is being formed.
