The shortage of market makes the employment situation of intellectual property talents bullish all the way. According to Professor Zheng, intellectual property graduates from Peking University have always been in great demand, and the large employers are large enterprises. Recently, the appetite of high-tech enterprises is also growing. China National Intellectual Property Administration Patent Office requires Patent examiners to have a degree in science and engineering, and they need to be trained in relevant intellectual property laws and regulations after employment, so as to meet the post needs of examiners. As for the reason why Patent examiners prefers students with science and engineering background, Professor Zheng analyzed that although most of the courses in intellectual property study are related to law, because the field of intellectual property is more exposed to some high-tech, high-tech projects and so on, it is more convenient to have a better foundation in science and engineering, so that you can better understand this technology or product and do related intellectual property work. Dean Tao of the School of Intellectual Property of Shanghai University also pointed out that the most critical issue in the cultivation of intellectual property talents is the students' level of science and technology knowledge, because the requirements of the industry are relatively high, and it is difficult to make up from the day after tomorrow. At the same time, science and engineering students need to make up for the lack of communication and expression skills.
