Quartz stone is mainly used in building materials and made into quartz stone slabs. To identify the authenticity, it mainly tests its own characteristics
Use hydrochloric acid and other immersion tests
Fake quartz stone will contain calcium carbonate. If it is soaked in dilute hydrochloric acid or other acidic liquid, it will react with the acid.
Test the permeability
The surface and internal structure of high-quality quartz stone slabs are equally fine, dense and uniform, so they have low water absorption and strong resistance to permeability; you can pour soy sauce on the quartz stone countertop Check to see if there is bleeding
Check the wear resistance with a knife
The main component of quartz stone countertops is silica, which has the highest hardness. The quartz stone on the market is made of quartz crystals and resin. Synthetically, the quartz content is generally marked as about 93%. Therefore, the possibility of breakage is very small and it is also relatively wear-resistant. Fake quartz stone has a high resin content, the surface hardness will be relatively low, and it is easy to scratch. When purchasing, you can use a knife to try to make a scratch on the countertop.
Check the heat resistance by fire
If the resin content of inferior quartz stone is too high, the heat resistance will also be reduced. Therefore, you can take advantage of this and burn the sample with a lighter, etc., and then see if there are any traces on it.

How to identify the quality of quartz stone
Hardness: The surface Mohs hardness is 7. The simple detection method is to squeeze with an iron sharp object. Observe the condition of the damage point, and there will be no scratches.
High temperature resistance: can withstand temperatures up to 300°C. Use a stainless steel cup filled with boiling water and place it on the countertop for 30 minutes without discoloration. Or put a burning cigarette butt on the quartz stone without discoloration.
Look for the trademark on the front of the quartz stone.
Environmental protection: It can provide green environmental protection certification tested by authoritative departments.
Fire resistance: 10㎜×30㎜ thin quartz stone strips will not burn when placed on an open fire.
Acid and alkali resistance: Use 3 hydrochloric acid solution or 100g/L citric acid solution, 30g/L sodium hydroxide or potassium hydroxide solution to erode the surface, and there will be no obvious visible changes on the surface.
Water absorption: less than 0.04. Sprinkle a little water on the quartz stone surface and observe that the color does not turn white after 24 hours.
High-quality quartz stone does not contain residual solvents and has no pungent chemical smell.
High-quality quartz stones are printed with computer anti-counterfeiting inkjet codes on the back.
