2. If a trademark is not used for three consecutive years after registration, it may be revoked.
3. Where a registered trademark needs to be used continuously after the expiration of its term of validity, it shall apply for renewal of registration within 1 year before the expiration of the registration period; If the applicant fails to apply within this time limit, it can be extended for six months, but an extra fee will be paid. If no application is filed at the expiration of the exhibition period, the registered trademark shall be invalid and cancelled according to law. For foreign applicants who must entrust an agent according to law, the required documents are mainly power of attorney, which can be simply signed.
4. The Intellectual Property Office only conducts formal examination of trademark renewal applications. The validity period of each renewal registration is 10 year.
5. If the original trademark owner reapplies for registration of the same trademark within 6 months from the date of expiration of the trademark, he has the priority to obtain trademark registration.
