Porsche Design Porsche Design Studio, founded by Dr. Ferdinand A. Porsche (Mr. Ferdinand, the designer of the Porsche 911 model), is a brand independent of the car factory. The studio is located in Zell am see, Austria. Since 1978, the Porsche Design studio has specialized in providing designs for some licensed collaborators, usually some relatively well-known manufacturers, and then using the Porsche Design brand. For example, several Swiss Army Knife Wenger knives are designed by the Porsche Design studio and produced by Wenger. The final products are branded with the Porsche Design trademark.
