As for how long it takes to transfer a trademark, my country’s Trademark Law does not stipulate a time limit for the review of trademark transfers. However, according to the current review progress of trademark transfer applications by the my country Trademark Office, trademark transfer needs to be handled at the Trademark Office. The process includes: application, acceptance, review, announcement, and issuance of transfer certificate. According to the provisions of the Trademark Law of the People's Republic of China, trademark holders generally complete trademark notarization and obtain a trademark declaration notarization within 3-5 working days. The Trademark Office will issue an acceptance letter in about 1-2 months and start the review. The Trademark Office will issue an announcement about 5-8 months after accepting the application and issue a registered trademark approval transfer certificate to both parties. The registered trademark approval transfer certificate can be obtained within three to four months from the date of application. So generally speaking, it takes about half a year to a year to transfer a trademark.
