The main changes of "Zhonghua" cigarette labels can be divided into three stages:
First, in the late 1970s and early 1980s, the gold-printed trademark on the label of "Zhonghua" cigarettes was changed to a bronzing trademark. This change of cigarette label undoubtedly took advantage of the bronzing effect of the pattern, which made the whole cigarette label look brand-new and the brand image of "China" suddenly improved.
Secondly, in 1994, bronzing printing was changed to more advanced gravure printing, and the material of cigarette labels was changed from white cardboard to aluminum paper. The original bronzing printing process is complicated, all of which are manual operation, with low printing efficiency and unstable quality, which obviously does not meet the needs of increasing output. After changing to gravure printing, the efficiency is greatly improved and the printing quality is constantly improved. Therefore, at that time, the impact of this change was unprecedented. The above two changes in cigarette labels also reflect the development of tobacco printing industry from the side.
Thirdly, 1998, based on the monotonous variety of original fancy cigarettes, the tobacco factory gradually developed a variety of fancy cigarettes, including some "Zhonghua" gift boxes and various drawer-type packages, which gave consumers more choices and promoted the further development of the "Zhonghua" brand cigarette market.
