It provides technical basis for promoting the examination and approval of Yizhou begonia variety resources, developing and applying excellent Yizhou begonia flower resources, expanding Yizhou begonia planting scale, improving economic benefits and improving people's living environment.

Since p>1994, Yizhou Begonia Research Institute in Linyi City has investigated and sorted out the germplasm resources of flowering plants of Yizhou Begonia, which have existed for a long time and been widely planted, preliminarily grasped the biological characteristics of some main varieties, and summarized the breeding and planting techniques. Yimeng Red, Times Red, Emerald, Splendid Color, Drunken Beauty, Landaiyan and Changshoule are the strains with stable characters and excellent performance.
