Lanzhou Huanghe Enterprise Co., Ltd. was established in December 1993. It is one of the earliest joint-stock enterprises in Gansu Province and is currently the only domestic A-share listed company in Lanzhou. Huanghe stock was listed on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange on June 23, 1999, with a current total share capital of 185.766 million shares.

The company is mainly engaged in the production, processing and sales of beer, beverages, barley, malt and forage. It currently owns Lanzhou Huanghe Jiazong Beer Co., Ltd., Qinghai Huanghe Jiazong Beer Co., Ltd., Gansu Tianshui Benma Beer Co., Ltd., Jiuquan Western Beer Co., Ltd., four Sino-foreign joint venture beer production enterprises, as well as Lanzhou Yellow River Beer Co., Ltd., Lanzhou Yellow River Malt Co., Ltd., Lanzhou Yellow River (Jinchang) Malt Co., Ltd., Lanzhou Yellow River Efficient Agriculture Development Co., Ltd., and Lanzhou Yellow River Investment Guarantee Co., Ltd., Lanzhou Huanghe Exquisite Packaging Co., Ltd. and other 10 subsidiaries. By the end of 2007, the company had total assets of 1.4 billion yuan, with an annual production capacity of 400,000 tons of beer, 20,000 tons of beverages, 120,000 tons of malt, and 100,000 tons of forage.

Since its establishment in 1985, Huanghe Beer has adhered to the corporate purpose of standardizing operations, scientific management, promoting development, and returning shareholders and society, followed the strict, precise, detailed and practical corporate style, breaking conventions and innovating management , relying on the market economy operating system, high-tech quality system and tenacious entrepreneurial spirit, it has become a nationally renowned beer brand in just 21 years, with sales markets covering 31 provinces and municipalities. In February 2002, the Yellow River Beer trademark was recognized as a well-known trademark in China by the State Administration for Industry and Commerce, becoming the third well-known trademark in the domestic beer industry after Qingdao and Yanjing, and the only well-known trademark in the field of industrial consumer goods in Gansu Province.

In order to ensure that the company has sufficient sustainable development capabilities, the company takes advantage of its location, business operations and local resources to develop its three major businesses: beer beverages, barley malt, and packaging and printing. In August 2004, the company successfully introduced Danish Carlsberg Brewery Co., Ltd., a strategic investor in the main beer business, and the Danish Industrialization Foundation for Developing Countries. The four joint venture beer companies have enabled the company's beer production capacity to reach 400,000 tons in the near future and 700,000 tons in the medium term, firmly ranking first in the northwest.
