The origin of Jinxiu Yellow Peach is Guangming Town, Shanghai.
It has beautiful appearance, golden flesh color, neat and well-proportioned fruit shape, soft and medium-hard, more sweet and less sour, fragrant, medium water content, and attractive flavor. The ripening time is generally from mid-August to September, and it is a good product in the autumn fruit market. Jinxiu yellow peach is a famous fruit in Shanghai, and its registered trademark is also Jinxiu yellow peach. Jinxiu Huangtao won the first prize of Shanghai Scientific and Technological Achievements Progress Award in 1986. In 1989, it was named Shanghai Famous and Premium Fruit Production Base. In 1991, it was listed as Shanghai Harvest Project Production Base. In 1992, it was designated as one of the top ten product bases for agricultural development in suburban counties.
Qingcun Town is the only production base of Jinxiu Yellow Peach in Shanghai. Feng Guoqin, the current deputy mayor of Shanghai, affirmed the development prospects of Jinxiu Huangtao in Fengxian Qingcun Town when he was the county party secretary in Fengxian. In 1993, Qingcun Town has become a fruit town producing 10,000 acres of splendid yellow peaches in Shanghai, adding color to Shanghai's fruit market.
