1. There are two recognized gods of wine in China, namely Yi Di and Du Kang.
Since the time of the Three Sovereigns and Five Emperors in ancient times, various wine-making methods have been popular among the people. It was Yidi who summarized these wine-making methods and spread them to later generations. Of course, those who can carry out this kind of summary and promotion work are not ordinary civilians, so some books identify Yidi as an official in charge of wine making, which is probably not unreasonable.
While making rice wine, Du Kang also invented the dustpan and broom, two small tools that we use every day. It’s interesting to hear something and know something else. Du Kang is the fifth successor of Xia Yu. With such a low seniority, his status as the ancestor of wine making cannot be guaranteed.
But perhaps because Du Kang was a dignified emperor, there are far more records about his "making wine" in later generations than that of Yidi. Dukang's winemaking refers to the fact that the raw material used in Dukang's winemaking is sorghum. If we insist on identifying Yidi or Du Kang as the founder of wine, we can only say that Yidi is the founder of rice wine.
2. Liu Ling and Li Bai were both called wine masters in history.
Liu Ling was drunk
Once, he had a severe alcohol attack and asked his wife to get some wine. His wife cried and spilled the remaining wine on the ground and threw it again. After breaking the wine bottle, Liu Ling persuaded him with tears in her eyes: "You drink too much. This is not a way to maintain your health. Please stop it!" Liu Ling replied: "Okay! But it's on my own. You can't quit drinking if you don't have the strength.
You have to swear before the gods to quit. Just prepare wine and meat to sacrifice to the gods." His wife believed it and obeyed his instructions. So Liu Ling offered the wine and meat in front of the god's table, knelt down and said, "I was born Liu Ling, named after wine. One drink of dendrobium, five measures of meat. Be careful not to listen to women's words." After saying this, he took it. He was a drunkard and got drunk again.
Li Bai and wine, just like him and poetry, have never been separated. Wine seems to be his life and the material carrier of his emotions. It is integrated into his poems and becomes the soul of his poems. Li Bai rarely had great ambitions, and often compared himself to Guan Zhong and Zhuge Liang. He believed that he "had economic talents, resisted Chaoyou's discipline, literature could change customs, and learning could study heaven and man." He hopes to rely on his talents to gain the emperor's appreciation.

The story of Yidi making wine:
Yidi was ordered to make wine, but not only was he not rewarded, but he was punished.
Yidi, a native of the Xia Dynasty, is said to be the earliest winemaker in my country. "Warring States Policy Wei Ce" records: "In the past, the emperor's daughter ordered Yi Di to make wine and make it beautiful, and it was introduced to Yu. Yu drank it and enjoyed it. He said: "In future generations, there will be people who use wine to destroy their country. "Then the rites are sparse and the wine is eliminated." Xu Shen of the Han Dynasty also said the same thing in "Shuowen Jiezi·Jiu Notes".
Meaning: In the past, Xia Yu’s women asked Yidi to make wine. After Yi Di worked hard, he brewed a delicious wine and presented it to Xia Yu. Xia Yu drank it and found it really good. But he said, "If future kings drink this kind of wine, their country will surely perish." From then on, he alienated Yi Di and cut off his relationship with wine.
"Ghost" is a kind of "mash" made from fermented glutinous rice. It is warm and soft in nature and sweet in taste. It is mostly produced in Jiangsu and Zhejiang. Many families today still make their own glutinous rice. The glutinous rice paste is white and delicate, and the thick glutinous rice paste can be used as a staple food. The clear juice on it is quite close to wine. "秫" is another name for sorghum.
