The internal structure and shielding measures of UHV and UHV test halls of TBEA Shenbian Company are designed and built according to the current international advanced technology. The main test equipment is air cushion moving, and the samples in the hall are also moved by air cushion car. The main test equipment and measuring instruments are produced by famous companies at home and abroad. Good test conditions and advanced test equipment and measuring instruments have greatly improved the test efficiency and technical level, and enabled the museum to test UHV and large-capacity power transmission and transformation equipment.

Effective space in the EHV test hall: length× width× height: 70× 40× 33m. The width× height of the product entrance door is: 1 1 × 17m. Hall grounding resistance is 0.08 Ω. The hall has good electromagnetic shielding and sound shielding efficiency. Electromagnetic shielding is composed of copper mesh and metal conductor, and the shielding effect can reach 65dB. All doors are integrated with a shielding system. Therefore, the background interference level can be as low as 10 pC when the broadband method is used for partial discharge tests of transformers and reactors. The good sound insulation function of the hall makes the background noise level during sound level measurement not exceed 40 dB(A). The laboratory has a controllable central air conditioning ventilation system, which is conducive to ensuring a better test environment. This laboratory is equipped with an automatic control system and a multi-point hook at the top of the laboratory, which simplifies the test steps and improves the test efficiency. There are two independent test benches in the lobby, which can test two products at the same time.

The final electrical performance tests of transformers, reactors and other products are conducted in this hall. At the beginning of 2008, all products of Guiguang Second Ring Road were successfully put into production at one time, and the product performance parameters surpassed Siemens and reached the world leading level. On April 12, our company successfully completed the development task of 750 kV transformer for the follow-up 750 kV transmission project in northwest China. On July 4th, 2008, the world's first UHVAC1000 MVA/1000 kV transformer was successfully developed in TBEA, and all the test items were passed. On February 7th, 2009, the product DFP-4 17000/500 produced by our company for Jiangsu Nuclear Power Co., Ltd. passed the test at one time, and the test results were all better than the technical agreement requirements. This product is the real main transformer of nuclear power in our company and the largest single-phase double-column transformer manufactured by our company at present. In April 2009, the DFP-380000/500 transformer in Pengcheng Power Plant was successfully put into operation. This transformer is the largest single-phase single-column transformer produced and operated by our company, reaching the world advanced level.

On August 26th, China Southern Power Grid Corporation 800 kV DC Demonstration Project, the world's first successfully tested 800 kV product was successfully developed. The partial discharge index is almost equal to the background value, and the indexes such as no-load, load, temperature rise and noise are far superior to the contract standard requirements.
