The mountains in southeastern Australia form the southern section of the Great Divide. It consists of Snow Mountain Range, Bowen Mountain Range and Barry Mountain Range. The average width is about 150 km. There are national peaks such as Kosiasco (2230m) and Townsend (22 10/0m). The birthplace of murray river, Malanbiji River and some coastal rivers. There are snow mountain hydropower projects. The forest is dense. Winter peak snow. This is an excellent summer pasture and a famous ski resort.
