The role of oil seal

Selection of oil seal installation tools
(1) Click-to-point selection
When installing parts on cylindrical parts or shafts, select the press-in position to avoid damage Ring parts.
(2) Press-in amount
Select the oil seal installation tool according to the press-in amount.
(3) Use guide devices.
Set up press-in rails so parts can be mounted at an angle.
Oil seal removal
Use a slide hammer to remove the gearbox oil seal.
Hook the oil seal with your claws, pull the slide hammer hard, and use the impact force of the slide hammer to pull out the oil seal.
Use the disassembly tool to remove the front drive axle housing oil seal.
Tighten the center bolt of the removal tool and push the shaft in a straight line to pull out the oil seal at the same time.
Use a flat-head screwdriver to remove the engine front oil seal.
Insert a flat-blade screwdriver into the lip and pry open the oil seal.
Engine rear oil seal
Use a cutter to cut off the lip of the oil seal to form a gap for the insertion of the spiral cutter.
Installation of oil seal
Use special tools and hammer to install the transmission oil seal.
For special tools, you need to choose the press-in method or various special tools according to the type of oil seal.

Precautions when installing the oil seal
Avoid contamination of the oil seal.
Avoid touching your lips.
Prevent oil seal deformation.
Make sure the shaft hole is clean.
Use appropriate clamps.
Fixtures should be maintained in good condition.
Prevent the oil seal from tilting.
The installation direction is correct.
Make sure the press fit is in place.
Add grease between the main lip and dust lip of the rubber oil seal.
It is recommended to install it on the machine.
Oil seals are not allowed to be reinstalled and used.
When installing the oil seal manually, you should prevent deformation and tilt, and avoid direct knocking of the oil seal.
Improper handling and installation can cause oil seal failure.
