Tracing back to the Qin and Han Dynasties and consulting ancient books, it was often called: "Taoshan was famous as a town. Since the Warring States Period, Zhao had set up a pavilion in Tao Qiu, and the Tao Gai of the pavilion got its name from this place. The land is on the edge of Tao Mountain and the Wei River is located in Qilu. To the west is the thoroughfare to Yanjing...". There is another saying that is roughly the same as this: "Guantao was in Jizhou in ancient times. In the Spring and Autumn Period, the Guanshi city of Jin State later belonged to Zhao State. There was a Tao Qiu seven miles northwest of the city. When the Lord of Zhao descended, he built the pavilion next to it. Because of its famous Guantao". Speaking of which, the origin of Guantao is clearly explained. In this way, according to the records in ancient books and Guantao County Chronicles, the explanation of the origin of Guantao is completely reasonable and trustworthy. The problem that is difficult to solve is "Taoshan". Isn't there a saying in the origin of Guantao called "The ground is pillowed by Tao Mountain and the Wei River is at the edge of the mountain"? The Wei River is easy to say, and it still flows in Guantao to this day. There is also the majestic "July 1" Bridge on the water. There is no need to explain it. Use more pen and ink. What is difficult to explain is what is known as "Taoshan" (or mound). Speaking of the name "Taoshan", almost everyone knows it, and there is also the saying of "Taoshan Sunset", one of the "Eight Scenic Spots" in Guantao. If you want to ask where "Taoshan" is, no one knows its location. Especially in recent years, due to industrial development, many famous and high-quality products have entered the domestic and international markets with the ancient place name "Taoshan" as their trademark. Famous wines such as "Taoshan Chenjiu", "Taoshan Min" and "Taoshanchun" all have "Taoshan" printed on their trademarks; the pottery produced by Guantao Modern Ceramics Company in Guantao County also has the word "Taoshan" , as well as the signboards of hotels, restaurants and other service facilities, more of which are named after "Taoshan". This is enough to show that "Taoshan" has a wide influence, a deep impression and a long history among the people of Guantao County. However, who among the Guantao people can clearly explain the true location, specific location and surrounding villages of "Taoshan"? For many years, no one has been found who can truly solve this mystery. There are different opinions on the explanation of "Taoshan" from ancient times to the present: one theory is that "Taoshan" has a mound fifty miles southwest of the county, which is "Taoshan"; the other is that "Taoshan" is said to be located seventy miles southwest of Guantao Town. Xu, there is a slight earth mound; the third theory is that "Taoshan" is in the south of Zhangsha Village, with long and narrow sand dunes; the fourth theory is that "Taoshan" has pottery hills seven miles northwest of Guantao City; the fifth theory is that "Taoshan" is in Dingtao, Shandong , not in Guantao County, etc., the above are all different, but the Ming Dynasty unified records: "Taoshan" is fifty miles southwest of Guantao County and seven miles northwest of Guantao Town. There are Tao Qiu. During the Warring States Period, Zhao Zhu After descending to this place, a pavilion was placed beside it, so it was named Guantao. This record is consistent with the fourth statement and the description of "Taoshan" in several versions of Guantao County Chronicles. Therefore, when the Guantao County Chronicles were revised in 1936, it was determined that the location and distance of "Taoshan" determined by the Ming Dynasty Yitong Chronicles were accurate, and other theories were incorrect. "Taoshan" was determined to be seven miles northwest of Guantao City (now the east ancient city of Guanxian County, Shandong), which is where people often call "Taoshan" now. As for why there are no "traces" now, due to the passage of time, the tombs and valleys have undergone vicissitudes, and the mountains have become great rivers, so I won't explain it further.
