Harbin Pharmaceutical Group Shiyitang Pharmaceutical Factory is a state-owned large and medium-sized pharmaceutical enterprise, one of the top 50 national traditional Chinese medicine enterprises, and a national key pharmaceutical enterprise. Shiyi Hall was built in the 29th year of the reign of Emperor Guangxu of the Qing Dynasty (1903) and has a history of a hundred years. Shiyitang Pharmaceutical Factory is the North Hall of the Five Traditional Chinese Medicine Halls. The factory adheres to the ancient motto of "the combination of medical prescriptions must be authentic and the preparation according to ancient times is excellent." It has been producing Chinese patent medicines according to traditional techniques. In 1915, the "Shiyitang" brand medicine won the first prize Panama International Exposition Gold Medal.
