"Hua" represents China, and "Run" comes from "Run", which means "the land of China is nourished by rain and dew".

China Resources (Group) Co., Ltd. (referred to as China Resources or China Resources Group) was founded in 1938. In 1948, it was reorganized and renamed China Resources Corporation. In 1952, the affiliation was changed from the General Office of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China to the Central Trading Company. Ministry of Commerce (now the Ministry of Commerce).

In 1983, China Resources (Group) Co., Ltd. was reorganized and established. In December 1999, it was decoupled from the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation and placed under central management. In 2003, it became a central enterprise under the leadership of the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council.

Development History:

On October 28, 2016, China Resources Pharmaceutical (03320.HK), a comprehensive pharmaceutical company under China Resources Group, was listed on the main board of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange. China Resources Group has 6 listed companies on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange.

On October 28, 2016, "China Resources Connect" was officially launched for internal trial operation; and it is planned that on December 28, 2016, China Resources Connect will be open to the public.

In May 2017, China Resources (Group) Co., Ltd. was selected as a candidate for the "Trademark Utilization Award".

In December 2018, the list of a new batch of pilot enterprises for state-owned capital investment and operation companies (two types of companies) (11 companies) was announced, and China Resources (Group) Co., Ltd. was among them.
