Except for commercial banks, other types of banks do not issue bank cards. As the name suggests, business is about making money. It absorbs funds from individuals, businesses and other institutions, and issues loans and other related businesses in order to make money. The central bank, policy banks and other investment banks do not issue bank cards.

(1) The concept of bank card

Bank card refers to a card issued to the society by approved commercial banks (including postal financial institutions) with the functions of consumer credit, transfer settlement, cash deposit and withdrawal and other credit payment instruments with full or partial functions.

(2) Classification of bank cards

3. According to the different objects of issuance, it is divided into corporate cards (business cards) and personal cards.

4. According to different information carriers, they are divided into magnetic stripe cards and chip (IC) cards.

Use of bank card account

1. Apply for bank card account opening. Any unit that opens a basic deposit account at a financial institution in China must apply for a corporate card with the account opening license issued by the People's Bank of China; when an individual applies for a bank card (except stored-value cards), he or she must provide the card-issuing bank with a certificate issued by the public security department. The person's valid identity document will be opened for a registered account after the card-issuing bank passes the review. The bank card and its account can only be used by the cardholder himself and cannot be rented or lent.

2. Cancel the bank card account. Cardholders can apply for account cancellation after paying off all transaction amounts, overdraft principal and interest and related fees.

3. Report the loss of bank card. If a cardholder loses his bank card, he should immediately apply for a loss report to the card-issuing bank or agency bank with his or her identity document or other valid certificates, and provide relevant information as required.

Bank Card Transaction Regulations

1. The corporate RMB card can handle the settlement of commodity transactions and labor supply payments, but no overdraft is allowed; if the threshold exceeds the threshold specified by the People's Bank of China, it shall be approved by the People's Bank of China. The local branch of the bank handles the transfer. Corporate cards are not allowed to deposit and withdraw cash.

2. The card-issuing bank must authorize each cash withdrawal from a credit card, and the cumulative daily cash withdrawals for each card shall not exceed RMB 2,000. Card-issuing banks should set transaction limits for cardholders’ withdrawals from ATMs, and the cumulative daily withdrawals per card shall not exceed RMB 5,000. The face value of the stored-value card or the currency value in the card shall not exceed RMB 1,000.

3. The amount of a single overdraft incurred by the same cardholder shall not exceed 20,000 yuan (including the equivalent foreign currency) for personal cards, and shall not exceed 50,000 yuan (including the equivalent foreign currency) for corporate cards. The monthly overdraft amount of the same account for personal cards shall not exceed 50,000 yuan (including the equivalent in foreign currencies), and for corporate cards shall not exceed 3% of the card-issuing bank's comprehensive credit limit for the unit; for units without a comprehensive credit limit to refer to, the monthly overdraft amount shall not exceed 10% Ten thousand yuan (including the equivalent in foreign currencies). The overdraft limit of a foreign currency card shall not exceed 80% of the cardholder's deposit (including the pledged amount of the savings certificate).

4. The overdraft period of a quasi-credit card is up to 60 days. The minimum repayment amount for the first month of a credit card shall not be less than 10% of the overdraft balance of the month.
