How to cancel a credit card
There are two main ways to cancel credit cards, one is to cancel by phone, and the other is to cancel at the bank counter. The processes of the two cancellation methods are as follows:
Cancel by phone: You can cancel by phone after paying off the credit card debt, but it is best to brush it enough times before canceling to avoid the annual fee, otherwise you will have to pay the annual fee when canceling, and cancel directly by phone after all confirmation, and maybe the customer service will retain it, as long as we resolutely cancel.
Cancellation of bank counter: You must bring your prepared ID card, application form and credit card for cancellation. The bank staff will tell us the specific steps and just follow the requirements.
It should be noted here that after the application for card refund is filed, the bank will accept it as a pre-sale card, and the credit card can not be used after it is returned. If there is a new account payable within 45 days, the bill will still be issued, and you need to repay it on time. After 45 days of card cancellation, if the account has no arrears or excess deposits, the system will automatically cancel the account without going through any formalities.
I want to remind you that after your credit card cancellation application is filed, the bank will accept it as a pre-sale card. Although it can no longer be used after cancellation, the credit card account has not been cancelled, so if there is a new account payable within 45 days, it needs to be repaid. After 45 days, if there is no problem at all, your credit card account will be automatically closed, thus completing the whole process of credit card cancellation.
After 45 days, you can check whether your credit card has been cancelled. In addition, if your credit card is magnetic stripe, remember to cut the card, because even if you cancel it, your message will still be left on the magnetic stripe of your credit card.
