There are two kinds of foreign currency remittance in China: overseas foreign currency remittance and domestic foreign currency remittance. Yours belongs to domestic and foreign currency remittance. In addition to the corresponding handling fee charged at the remitting bank, the posting bank will also charge an entry handling fee (the same is true for overseas remittances), which means that your 40 pounds will be charged by the receiving bank in China. I suggest you ask if there is a handling fee for remittance in the future. State-owned banks will accept it, while some foreign banks will not.
