I am an employee of Bank of China, so let me answer this question.
There is no amount limit for depositing euros into the Euro Card. However, as long as you withdraw it in China, there is a handling fee of 1, which is calculated in euros and converted into RMB. The number taken abroad is 3. Very unwise.
The best way is to cancel the Euro card after the money is deposited into your account. After canceling the card, the balance will be returned without any handling fee. Many people who don’t need a card when they come back from abroad use this method to settle their payments.
However, if you still want to use a card, it is better to open an account in China to receive foreign remittances, or remit the money to the name of immediate family members, and then transfer it back after returning to the country. Immediate relatives are parents, children, and spouse. Only immediate family members can transfer foreign currency to each other. Foreign currency cannot be transferred between others.
