Recently, the reporter received two calls from people claiming to be bank staff, saying that they "can help increase the credit card limit." When the reporter said there was no need, the other party cursed and hung up the phone. Journalists may encounter fraudulent calls, but what are the specific fraud techniques? On the 6th, the reporter consulted the police.

According to a person in charge of Nanhai police, during this period, they also received similar reports, and many citizens were deceived. A few days ago, Nanhai citizen Guo reported that she received a call from someone claiming to be Everbright Bank customer service, who said he could help her increase the credit limit of her bank card. After agreeing to the other party, Guo received a message from the bank, so Guo told the other party the verification code in the message, and then received a text message saying that he spent 9,984 yuan online with his bank card.

Mr. Yu, a citizen of Foshan, received a text message saying that he could help him apply for a high-limit credit card. Subsequently, Mr. Yu sent the identity information to the other party as requested by the other party, and in the name of making a transaction as required by the other party, he applied for a Bank of Communications savings card at the Bank of Communications on Jiangpudong Road, Xiqiao Zhen, and transferred RMB 118,697 in three installments. RMB is transferred to this account. Since the other party asked for capital verification, Mr. Yu informed the other party of his online banking account number and login password. Soon, Mr. Yu received a text message notification that the money in his Bank of Communications savings card had been transferred in three installments, totaling RMB 118,600.

The police remind you that you must go to formal channels to apply for bank cards and credit cards, and do not trust various text messages and phone calls claiming to be from the banking system. When applying for a card or doing business, remember not to leak your personal account number and password, especially the verification code used for transactions, to strangers
