In order to ensure the authenticity of individual deposit accounts and safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of depositors, these Provisions are formulated. Financial institutions in People's Republic of China (PRC) and individuals who open personal deposit accounts in financial institutions shall abide by these provisions. According to the regulations of real-name registration system on individual deposit accounts, the real name mentioned in these Provisions refers to the name used on the identity documents that comply with laws, administrative regulations and relevant provisions of the state.
