If the principal cardholder or applicant no longer uses the credit card during the validity period or after the expiration of the credit card, he shall promptly notify the card issuer through the customer service hotline provided by the card issuer, and apply to the card issuer for cancellation after paying off all the debts of the credit card account. After 45 natural days after accepting the application for account cancellation, the card issuer will go through the formal account cancellation procedures for the cardholder.
When applying for account cancellation, the cardholder shall return the credit card to the card issuer or destroy it according to the regulations of the card issuer. After going through the formal account cancellation procedures, the card issuer will continue to reserve the right of recourse to the credit card accounts that occurred before and after the account cancellation of the cardholder or applicant, and accept the customer's repayment.
When the cardholder applies to cancel the credit card supporting the electronic cash account, if the electronic cash account still has a balance, the cardholder can choose to consume the balance of the electronic cash account or go to the business outlets of the card issuer for cancellation and recovery, and go through the cancellation procedures according to the relevant regulations of the card issuer.
