3. Foreigners and Taiwanese should go to local travel agencies in Tibet to apply for an entry permit at least one month in advance. Compatriots from Hong Kong and Macao can enter Tibet without an entry permit. Only local travel agencies in Tibet authorized by the Tibet Tourism Development Committee can apply for this document. Travel agencies in other provinces will ask Tibetan travel agencies to handle the entry procedures for Tibet.
4. People with heart disease, asthma, and high blood pressure are not recommended to enter Tibet. Do not enter Tibet blindly. Travel agencies generally politely refuse to accept people over 70 years old.
5. If you are visiting Tibet for the first time, it is recommended to take some regular tourist routes, such as Potala Palace and Jokhang Temple in Lhasa, Basongtso in Nyingchi, Yarlung Zangbo Grand Canyon, Yanghu Lake in Shigatse, and Tashi Lhunpo Monastery, and finally visit Namtso. 11. Learn some useful knowledge about altitude sickness. Altitude sickness has nothing to do with flying into Tibet. Taking a train into Tibet allows the body to slowly adapt to the gradually rising altitude. However, it takes more than 40 hours to reach Tibet by train from many cities. It is really tiring. Many tourists start to suffer from high altitude sickness at Tanggula Pass because of the long journey. At this time, you can Choose to take the train in two sections, stay in Xining or Xi'an for a day or two, and then buy a train ticket from Xining to Tibet (friendly reminder: there are too many scalpers in Xining, and train tickets are priced too high). It is worth mentioning that no matter you enter Tibet by plane, train or car, do not wash your hair or take a bath on the day you arrive in Lhasa. Take more rest. You are really a germaphobe. 12. Before entering Tibet, tourists can go to local pharmacies to buy anti-altitude sickness drugs, such as Nuodikang, Gaoyuankang, Gaoyuanan, Gaoyuanshuning and other drugs, 3-5 days in advance Take it every day.
During the journey
1. April and May are the best periods for viewing Mount Everest. It is recommended to stay at Mount Everest Base Camp for one night to watch the sunrise and sunset.
2. In the summer of July and August, Bomiranwu and Medog enter the rainy season, so avoid going to these areas as much as possible.
3. Namtso in April begins to enter the ice-breaking period, but you still pass through Nagen Mountain and may encounter heavy snow. Travel agencies generally recommend that tourists be mentally prepared to return.

7. Single women are not recommended to take a ride on the Sichuan-Tibet Line.
The Sichuan-Tibet Line has a southern line and a northern line. The total length of the southern line is 2,140 kilometers, and the total length of the northern Sichuan-Tibet Line is 2,412 kilometers. 8. It is cheaper to rent a car in Tibet with less effort. Do not rent a black car in Tibet or take a stranger’s car to avoid unnecessary trouble.
9. Due to the special conditions in Tibet, most hotels with 3 stars and below are lagging behind in terms of hardware and software compared with hotels of the same level in the mainland; Due to the region and culture, the hotel staff's service awareness is relatively weak and their attitude is relatively straightforward.
