Under normal circumstances, bank cards will not be frozen, and bail pending trial is only a compulsory measure to restrict freedom. However, if it involves recovering stolen money, the bank card may be frozen. During the period of bail pending trial, the public security bureau or procuratorate has filed a case for investigation. Inquiring about freezing bank deposits is an investigative measure, and freezing bank deposits and bank cards can be approved.
There are two main situations for freezing bank cards:
1. Because the money owed to financial institutions or individuals will be frozen, the court can directly transfer all the cash entered into all bank cards in the name of individuals and pay them to creditors or other institutions.
2. For credit reasons, if it is included in the list of untrustworthy people, the bank card will be frozen.
To sum up, bail pending trial does not mean the end of the case, and it is normal for the bank card to be frozen. And if the bank card fails to apply for a new card upon expiration, the bank will freeze your expired bank card after expiration.
