According to Article 35 of the Credit Card Charter of China Merchants Bank (Ninth Edition):

1. Have the right to review the applicant's credit status, verify the applicant's relevant information with any interested party according to the applicant's authorization, have the right to request, save and use the applicant's personal data, have the right to decide whether to issue a card to the applicant, have the right not to return the unapproved application materials, have the right to approve and adjust the credit line of the cardholder's account, and have the right to handle and transfer the creditor's rights owned by the card issuer.

2. When the cardholder fails to repay the arrears beyond the due repayment date, the card issuer has the right to collect, recover and stop using the cardholder's card according to law.

3. If the cardholder fails to comply with relevant laws and regulations and the Articles of Association, the card issuer has the right to cancel the cardholder's qualification and stop using the cardholder's card.

In other words, banks can decide whether to continue to let users use credit cards according to the specific use of cardholders, not according to their age.

According to Article 33 of the Credit Card Charter of China Merchants Bank (Ninth Edition):

If the principal cardholder or applicant no longer uses the credit card during the validity period or after the expiration of the credit card, he shall promptly notify the card issuer through the customer service hotline provided by the card issuer, and apply to the card issuer for cancellation after paying off all the debts of the credit card account. After 45 natural days after accepting the application for account cancellation, the card issuer will go through the formal account cancellation procedures for the cardholder.

When applying for account cancellation, the cardholder shall return the credit card to the card issuer or destroy it according to the regulations of the card issuer. After going through the formal account cancellation procedures, the card issuer will continue to reserve the right of recourse to the credit card accounts that occurred before and after the account cancellation of the cardholder or applicant, and accept the customer's repayment.
