Overview of Ukrainian consumption

Ukrainian prices are relatively expensive, and generally imported brand-name goods are rarely available. Ukraine’s retail business is underdeveloped and there are not many types of goods. Unique traditional Ukrainian handicrafts: embroidered handkerchiefs, pottery (the art of pottery in different regions of Ukraine has its own characteristics), tiles for stoves.

Many Ukrainian specialties are the same as those of Russia. The biggest similarity is VODKA! The best winery in Ukraine, and even one of the largest wineries in the former Soviet Union, is NIMEROFF in Vinnytsia Oblast. The price of NIMEROFF produced ranges from 3 to 40 US dollars. Even more traditional are Ukrainian brandy and wine.

Many stores in major cities will accept Visa, MasterCard and AE cards for payment, but please pay attention to whether there are credit card logos posted in front of the store.
