Tang (627-7 12) was born in Jingzhao Shiping (now Xingping, Shaanxi Province), and was a prime minister and famous soldier in the Tang Dynasty. Tang was born in Jingzhao. First, he went to Zhuo, and later became the governor of Yingzhou (now Chaoyang, Liaoning) to join the army.

When Tang Gaozong was promoted to Sima in Fengzhou (south of Wuyuan, Inner Mongolia), he was entrusted with the important task of resisting the Turks in the Middle Road.
