Tang (627-7 12) was born in Jingzhao Shiping (now Xingping, Shaanxi Province), and was a prime minister and famous soldier in the Tang Dynasty. Tang was born in Jingzhao. First, he went to Zhuo, and later became the governor of Yingzhou (now Chaoyang, Liaoning) to join the army.

When Tang Gaozong was promoted to Sima in Fengzhou (south of Wuyuan, Inner Mongolia), he was entrusted with the important task of resisting the Turks in the Middle Road.

Diaojiaolou period (685-688) moved to Anxi Deputy Duhu. After being promoted to governor of Xizhou in the first year of Yongchang, he actively planned to recover the lost land in Anxi. He requested to take back Qiuci, Khotan, Shule and broken leaves abandoned in the first year of Xianheng (670). Later, Wu Zetian ordered Wang Xiaojie to lead an army to attack Tubo, and recovered four towns in the winter of the first year of longevity (692).
