Even if you just cancel your credit card, your debit card can still be used normally. The bank just wants you to save more money when it sends you a debit card. This will still allow you to continue to use it.

If you cancel a credit card, the card will be cancelled. If the account is closed, it is usually my account in this bank, which has credit cards and debit cards associated with it.
