In case of overdue payment, there are not only 5% overdue fine (minimum 10 yuan), but also full penalty interest (five ten thousandths of the daily interest, starting from the day of consumption, and recovering the interest on a monthly basis until the principal and interest are paid off), and a bad credit record is generated in the Credit Information Center of the People's Bank of China, which affects the application for credit cards and bank loans within two years.
If the payment is overdue for more than three months or the bank makes more than two reminders, the bank will freeze your card and list you as a prohibited customer (blacklist).
Once the freeze expires, it can't be unfrozen basically, and you can only cancel it. Because you are listed as a prohibited customer by the bank, the bad records of the Credit Information Center of the People's Bank of China will be deleted five years later. In the meantime, it is difficult for you to apply for credit cards and bank loans.
At the same time, they will call for money. If they can't get it back, the bank will sue you for fraud when it reaches a certain amount.
