If the first 6 digits of the debit card number you hold are "456351" and it does not belong to the "62" standard UnionPay card, you cannot retain the original card number and "upgrade IC card". After replacing it with an IC card, the card number Changes occur, but Bank of China will automatically update the personal online banking, mobile banking, funds, wealth management and other services you have signed with Bank of China, and will not be affected by changes in card numbers. Except for the debit card with a card number starting with "456351", the pure magnetic stripe debit card issued by Bank of China (the card only has a magnetic stripe on the back and no chip embedded on the front of the card) you hold can be retained after replacing the IC card. The original debit card number can be used to “protect the number and change the card”.
