Detainees can apply for credit cards, but they will be classified as strict applicants.

According to Article 43 of the Measures for the Supervision and Administration of Credit Card Business of Commercial Banks, customers who apply for the bank's credit card for the first time are not allowed to issue credit cards by automatic card issuance in the whole process. Credit card applicants should strictly review and strengthen risk prevention and control in the following situations:

(1) Leaving relevant suspicious information or criminal records in the identity information system;

(2) There is no credit record in the credit information system;

(3) Having a bad record in the credit information system;

(four) there are many bank loans or credit card credit records in the credit information system;

(5) Business travel cards and business shopping cards handled by the unit;

(6) Risk information obtained from other channels.
