How to settle accounts when using credit cards abroad?

The credit cards currently issued in my country, no matter which bank issues them, can basically be divided into two categories: UnionPay RMB credit cards starting with 62, and dual-currency credit cards starting with numbers such as 3/4/5.

1) If you use a UnionPay RMB credit card starting with 62 for consumption abroad, all transactions will be converted into RMB for accounting by China UnionPay, China's international clearing organization, based on the exchange rate of the day. For example, if you spend US$500 in the United States and the current RMB exchange rate is 6.78, then after swiping the card, it will be recorded as RMB 3,390. You can just repay the RMB 3,390 directly after returning home. However, UnionPay card swiping machines are still relatively rare in foreign stores. If they don't have them, you won't be able to swipe them.

2) If you have a dual-currency credit card starting with 3, 4, 5, etc., you can still follow the method in (1) on a card swiping machine with the UnionPay logo overseas and ask to use the UnionPay channel. Account in RMB and pay back in RMB. If there is no UnionPay, just swipe through the International Settlements channel corresponding to the numbers 3, 4, and 5. For example, 4 is for VISA, then swipe it on the VISA card machine. The dual-currency card will be debited in US dollars or euros (according to the issuing bank) (Currently, most of them are RMB-USD dual-currency cards). For example, if you spend 500 U.S. dollars, it will be recorded as 500 U.S. dollars. After you return home, you can choose "purchase foreign exchange and repay", that is, go to the bank to repay the RMB, and the bank will help you purchase the foreign exchange. Spend money in US dollars; if you have US dollars on hand, you can also directly use US dollars to pay back US dollars.
