How long it takes for an overdue credit card to be restored depends on the situation:
1. Generally speaking, if the credit card is not overdue for personal reasons, such as being unable to repay due to bank reasons, or If you are unable to repay due to external force majeure factors, you can raise an objection to the Credit Reference Center of the Central Bank after repayment and request the bank to modify the credit report. After confirmation, the credit report can be restored in about 20 days at the fastest;
2. If the credit card is overdue due to personal reasons, it will take 5 years for the repayment to return to normal.
Article 16 of the "Credit Reporting Industry Management Regulations"
The credit reporting agency's retention period for personal bad information is 5 years from the date of termination of the bad behavior or incident; If it is 5 years old, it should be deleted.
During the retention period of adverse information, the information subject may explain the adverse information, and the credit reporting agency shall record it.
Article 17
Information subjects may inquire about their own information from credit reporting agencies. Personal information subjects have the right to obtain their credit reports for free twice a year.
Article 18
If you inquire about personal information from a credit reporting agency, you must obtain the written consent of the information subject and agree on the purpose. However, this is excepted where the law stipulates that inquiries may be made without consent.
Credit reporting agencies shall not provide personal information in violation of the provisions of the preceding paragraph.
