1. Change the magnetic card. Take the degaussed credit card and go to the bank to replace it immediately, or call the credit card center's 24-hour customer service hotline to apply for a new card. However, please note that changing the card will also change the card number.
2. Supplement magnet. Consult the issuer of the demagnetized credit card to see if it can be remagnetized. Some banks can remagnetize it, and there is no need to change the card number for a remagnetized credit card.
3. Replace the IC card. Unlike magnetic stripe cards, IC cards are not afraid of degaussing because IC cards store information by relying on the integrated circuit in the card, while magnetic cards rely on magnetism to record information. Compared with magnetic cards, IC cards have better confidentiality, and you don’t have to worry about degaussing
Send back the degaussed credit card. Call the manual customer service of the card issuing bank, follow the instructions to confirm your identity and relevant information with the bank, send the degaussed card back, and wait for the issuance of a new card.
It is forbidden to put it together with degaussing items. Since magnetic stripe credit cards are afraid of demagnetization, it is best to put the credit card in a wallet made of hard leather and manage it separately from other items you carry with you.
