From the 8th century to12nd century, through language contact, Old English gradually changed into Middle English. Middle English is often casually defined as 1067, the beginning of the conquest of England by William, Duke of Norman, France, but it developed further from 12 10- 1550.
First of all, in the 8th and 9th centuries, the Nordic colonial wave in the northern part of the British Isles brought about intense contact between Old English and Norse. Among the northeast old English spoken by York Danilo, Northern Europe has the greatest influence.
