Logically speaking, this is not possible. Ordinary hotel reservations can only be pre-authorized, not prepaid. There are several ways to solve this problem.

First, Chinese hotel reservation websites do not support it, but foreign hotel reservation websites are just the opposite, requiring prepayment. Some bank cards (I mean debit cards) will also have the VISA or MASTER logo, so they can be used for prepayment. Go to world-class websites like AGODA or EXPEDIA to check the hotel you have chosen, choose to book and pay, and you're done.

Second, it doesn’t matter whether you have a credit card or not, as long as you can provide a credit card for pre-authorization. Then you can ask a close friend for his credit card number and other information and fill it in. Even depositing a few hundred dollars with your friend is better than paying up front for a hotel you don't know much about.
