What's the difference between credit card bill installment and single consumption installment?
The difference between bill installment and consumption installment;

1. Credit card bill installment means that the current credit card bill has been issued, and the cardholder applies to the issuing bank to repay the bill amount in installments from the billing date to the final repayment date. Usually, the number of applications is limited.

2. Installment payment of credit card consumption refers to the business that the cardholder applies for installment payment one by one according to the consumption amount within 3 days from the time of consumption to the date of the latest bill, and repays it monthly within the agreed time limit. The cardholder can repay one or several expenses on the current bill in installments.

3. In general, the handling fee for credit card bill installment is the same as that for consumption installment, but there is usually a consumption limit for consumption installment. Only when a single consumption reaches a certain amount can you apply for installment.

First, from the perspective of installment amount.

There are restrictions on the installment amount for both types of installment, and different banks have different restrictions on the amount of single consumption installment and bill installment. Take the credit card of China Construction Bank as an example. Only when the credit card of CCB is fully consumed in 500 yuan can it apply for consumption installment.

The minimum application amount for bill installment is 300 yuan RMB, and the maximum application amount does not exceed 90% of the total RMB consumption in the bill (excluding cash withdrawal, installment payment and other transactions specified by CCB).

Second, from the perspective of installment rate.

Take CCB credit card as an example. CCB can choose any one of the three, six, 12, 18 and 24 periods for a single credit card consumption, and the corresponding monthly fee rates are 0.7%, 0.6%, 0.6% and 0.6% respectively.

The number of installments that CCB's credit card bill can choose is 3, 6, 12, 18 and 24, and the corresponding monthly average handling fee rates are 0.75%, 0.7%, 0.6%, 0.6% and 0.62% respectively.

Obviously, from the perspective of installment rate, the handling fee rate of bill installment is a little higher than that of single consumption installment, but the difference is not big.

Because the credit card installment fee is similar to the bill installment fee, therefore:

1. Consumption installment is suitable for large-scale predictable single or multiple purchases. If the cardholder knows that he bought something with a large amount and can't pay it back for the time being, he can choose credit card installment before the bill date.

2. The credit card bill installment is suitable for the case that the single amount is not high but the total amount of the current bill is high. As long as the cardholder finds out that he has spent too much money and is short of money after the bill is issued, he can choose credit card bill installment.

After swiping the credit card, you can choose bill installment or single consumption installment. Bill installment refers to the cardholder's application for installment after swiping the card and before the due repayment date. Single consumption installment, as its name implies, refers to single consumption application installment.

There are restrictions on the installment amount for both types of installment, and different banks have different restrictions on the amount of single consumption installment and bill installment.
