If you want to cancel the credit card account, after clearing the card account, call the customer service hotline of China Construction Bank at 95533 (please call 86-28-95533 overseas) for account cancellation registration. After the registration is completed, the magnetic stripe of the card will be cut by itself (virtual cards such as e-Pay card do not need to be cut because there is no physical card), and if there is no new accounts payable within 45 days, the account will be officially cancelled. No annual fee will be charged after the card is officially closed.

If the credit card is an IC chip card and there is a balance in the electronic cash account, electronic cash consumption can be made on the acceptance terminal with the UnionPay flash payment logo within the validity period of the card. You can use the balance of your electronic cash account before contacting our bank to cancel your credit card account.

Due to the needs of national financial supervision and management, China Construction Bank shall, in accordance with the relevant requirements of the regulatory authorities, keep customer identity information for at least five years from the year of business termination. When a customer cancels a credit card, if there is an overpayment, he/she needs to provide a CCB current savings account in his/her name, which can be returned to the customer account or other valid credit cards in his/her name.
