What should I prepare for taking the Quantum? Is the Quantum fun?

Before I went there, I read a lot of guides and introductions online. After reading them, I felt like I was being ripped off. Then after the editor personally experienced it, I really want to dispel some rumors here. The editor was organized by the company to travel, and the route we went to was Shanghai Wusong Pier-Kumamoto-Nagasaki-Shanghai Wusong Pier. In fact, we had a lot of fun on the ship! The Quantum of the Seas is pretty good!

Preparations before going:

1. A water glass is not a must-have. It is said online that the hotel where you stay on the cruise ship only provides one bottle of water throughout the journey, so you may run out of water or something else. It is true that only one bottle of water is provided, so you will not be thirsty. There is a restaurant on the fourth floor that is open from night to three in the morning, with snacks, milk, and water.

2. You don’t need to bring snacks and instant noodles. There is a lot of food on the cruise ship, and either those who are particularly picky eaters can eat it, or the overall taste is bland, and you may not feel particularly satisfied after eating it, so each table is also equipped with a Lao Gan Ma, and you can add more at will. If you want to bring snacks, you can actually bring them. The security check on the cruise ship is not so strict. There are a lot of procedures before boarding the cruise ship, and the queue is relatively long. It takes an hour or two to board the cruise ship smoothly.

3. You can buy a Japanese phone card. WiFi on the cruise ship is relatively expensive. Two devices cost 165 US dollars for the whole journey. It is more expensive to buy one device alone. The best deal is to buy two devices together, but it is still expensive. I didn't buy one. I bought a Japanese phone data card online for 25 yuan for three days. It's not bad. You can just plug in the card and use it when you get to Japan. In fact, it only took two days, because after returning to the cruise ship, the signal was very poor and basically unusable after the cruise ship left. One thing to note is that after boarding the ship, it is best to set your mobile phone to airplane mode to avoid unnecessary deductions on the high seas!

4. 2 copies of your passport + proof of boarding the ship (one week in advance Only then will the link be filled in and printed, so you don’t have to be in a hurry). The original passport will be taken away after boarding the cruise ship. During the two days of sightseeing after disembarking from the cruise ship, you only need to bring a copy of your room card and passport.

5. You don’t need to apply for a credit card, it depends on your personal needs. Everyone on the cruise ship has their own room card, and consumption is also done by swiping the room card. If you have a credit card, you can bind it, and the consumption will eventually be deducted directly from the credit card; if you don’t have a credit card, you can go to the service desk on the fourth floor and deposit it in the room card. U.S. dollars, if you consume, the pre-deposited U.S. dollars will be deducted. Our daily room service fee was US$14.50, which was charged for five days.

And one person’s credit card can be bound to up to ten people. If you bind multiple people, you don’t have to worry about chaotic consumption. Everyone shows their own room card for consumption, and the consumption bill follows the room card. , it will be clear at a glance who spent how much, and finally a bill will be sent to your room.

6. You can prepare some US dollars and Japanese yen. If you don’t have a credit card, you can exchange some U.S. dollars for backup on the cruise ship. If you buy Japanese yen locally to buy snacks, it will be more convenient to spend.

7. You must bring your own toothpaste and toothbrush. If the cruise ship does not provide it, the travel company will also inform you in advance.

8. You can bring one slipper. There is a swimming pool inside. If you want to swim, you can bring a swimsuit. There are indoor and outdoor swimming pools, as well as hot springs where you can play.

Experience on the cruise ship:

On the cruise ship, you can eat, drink, play, and sleep. Come on the cruise ship and slowly experience the artistic conception. It is not compulsory to consume, some paid ones will explain it, you can see it. It depends on personal preference. If you want to try something good, you can go and eat it.

The attitude of the waiters is very good. No matter which country we are from, they will politely say "hello" when they see us. They can speak basic Chinese, which is very cute. The people who handle things are basically Chinese. There will be no situation like what is said on the Internet where all the people who need to deal with things are foreigners and cannot communicate at all.

The past few days on the cruise ship were quite comfortable, and there was nothing unacceptable.

In Kumamoto and Nagasaki, where we dock, we will disembark from the cruise ship in the morning, spend a day sightseeing during the day, and return to the cruise ship at 6 or 7 p.m. The so-called park I went to felt like it was time to go to the parking lot and use the bathroom, and then it was time to gather and go to the next place. There is nothing interesting to see in the scenic spots, so the time given is short. The focus is on the duty-free shop, so I was given an hour. The duty-free shop I brought to Kumamoto felt like RT-Mart during the Chinese New Year. I heard that it is a place that locals will not go to, and it is specially open to these tourists. If you want to buy it, you can buy it.

The duty-free shop in Nagasaki is very large, but it mainly sells electrical appliances and the cosmetics area is very small, so if you want to buy something, it is best to buy it in Kumamoto, as the one in Nagasaki is not cost-effective.

We took a few scenic spots in Nagasaki that were pretty good. There were also drugstores there, but the time was limited. Basically, if you just browse the stores, you don’t have time to look at the scenery, and if you look at the scenery and take pictures, you don’t have time to buy. Weigh it yourself.

The weather in Japan is really good, the sky is blue and the air is great.
