At the beginning of 2007, the People's Bank of China has lifted the limit on the maximum amount of credit cards in the Measures for the Administration of Bank Cards promulgated by 1997, from the original limit of no more than 50,000 yuan to no limit. After that, banks have made corresponding adjustments to the credit review and credit line approval of credit cards. After the adjustment, only the lower limit of the credit line is set, and there is no upper limit, which means that a credit card may have thousands, tens of thousands, hundreds of thousands or millions of credit lines.
