There is no annual fee for credit cards without banks. Different credit card types have different annual fees:
1. Some banks’ annual fee preferential policies:
Credit cards of Bank of China, Agricultural Bank of China, and Industrial Bank: annual fees are waived for the first year, and annual fees are waived for the following year if the card is swiped five times within a year.
ICBC Credit Card: If you swipe the card 5 times within a year, the annual fee for that year will be waived.
China Construction Bank Credit Card: Waived in the first year. If you swipe the card 3 times within a year, the annual fee will be waived in the following year.
Bank of Communications Credit Card: Annual fee is waived in the first year, and thereafter the annual fee for the next year will be waived by swiping the card six times a year (Bank of Communications Platinum Credit Card does not have an annual fee waiver policy).
China Merchants Bank Credit Card: Waived in the first year. If you swipe the card 6 times within a year, the annual fee will be waived in the following year.
CITIC Bank Credit Card: If you swipe the card once within 1 month after activation, the annual fee for the current year will be waived, and if you swipe the card 5 times within a year, the annual fee for the next year will be waived.
So, the annual fee must be paid when using a credit card, but you can avoid paying the annual fee through the annual fee-free policy launched by the bank.
