Bank of China Global Card swipes the pound. Is it a loss of exchange rate compared with the pound card swiping the pound? Is it based on the selling price?
I happen to know this problem. Please remember to open the "RMB automatic purchase of foreign exchange" function when swiping the Global Link credit card. After the opening, all transactions will be settled in RMB, and at the same time, the USD account of the card will be closed. No matter whether you swipe the pound, ruble or Canadian dollar, you will be authorized to convert it into RMB immediately, and 1.5% currency exchange fee will be exempted, which is better than any dual-currency card. I'm using this card in the UK now. It's very convenient, but it doesn't have a chip. It's estimated that it will be upgraded to a card with a chip by the end of the year, and I can change it then.
