Yes, after reporting the loss of your credit card and replacing it, you still need to re-open and activate it.

There are usually three ways to activate a credit card:

1. Activating through the counter of the bank where the credit card is located requires personal presence and the original ID card and credit card;

2 .Call the credit card service phone number on the card to activate;

3. Log in to the credit card online banking and activate online.

Service phone activation method:

1. Call the 24-hour customer service hotline shown on the back of the credit card, select the appropriate language, and enter the cardholder's card number and query password;

2. Follow the voice prompts and select the card activation option under the "Credit Card Activation and Password Management" menu;

3. Enter the cardholder's last printed signature in the signature field on the back of the credit card 3 digits, press # key to confirm;

4. Enter the cardholder’s home phone number, press # key to confirm;

5. Enter 6 digits as the cardholder’s transaction Password, press the # key to confirm;

6. Enter the 6-digit transaction password again and press the # key to confirm;

7. The transaction password is set successfully.

How to activate credit card online:

1. First log in to the online banking page of the Bank of Communications credit card and enter the cardholder's card number and query password;

2. Log in Please change the query password in time;

3. When the credit card initial password is successfully changed, please log in to online banking again;

4. After logging in for the second time, please click "Credit Card Activation". Enter the last 3 digits printed on the signature line on the back of the credit card and your home phone number according to the prompts on the page;

5. After successful activation, enter the 6-digit number as the transaction password according to the prompts;

6. If you do not check the "Use password to confirm transaction" function on the application form, you can change the transaction mode to password + signature after the settings are completed.
