DisplayPort (DP for short) is a digital video interface standard developed by the alliance of PC and chip manufacturers and standardized by video electronics standards association (VESA). The interface is free from authentication and authorization, and is mainly used for connecting video sources and monitors, and supports carrying audio, USB and other forms of data.
