First, schedule the phone to turn on and off/airplane mode: Turn off the phone or turn on airplane mode before going to bed at night, so that the phone will not connect to the pseudo base station. If the base station cannot obtain the status information of the phone, it will not send the verification code. The text message is sent to the mobile phone, and the criminals cannot obtain the mobile phone number and verification code text message.
Second, be wary of dropping the 2G network in places with good signal: This kind of attack requires the help of the 2G network. Sometimes criminals will use fake base stations to drop the mobile phone to 2G to intercept voice messages and Internet data. When your mobile phone suddenly drops to 2G in a place where the signal is usually very good, be careful whether there are pseudo base stations and GSM sniffers nearby.
Third, set the mobile phone not to fall into the 2G network: users can set it in the network settings to only use 3G and 4G networks.
Fourth, use a mobile phone number specifically to receive verification codes: You can prepare a mobile phone first. If you have a dual-SIM phone, you can prepare a mobile phone card specifically for receiving verification code text messages. This phone or this card can be turned off or disabled at ordinary times. This method is cumbersome but perhaps the most effective currently.
